UCLA to deliver patients second opinions via telemedicine: 3 things to know

UCLA partnered with More Health, a digital healthcare company, to provide patients across the globe with second opinions on their respective medical diagnoses through telemedicine technology.

Three things to know:

1. More Health developed an online platform that allows physicians to virtually communicate and share information with patients as well as other clinicians.

2. Using More Health's platform, UCLA physician specialists will collaborate with other physicians to help diagnose and develop a treatment plan for patients.

"We are proud to provide healthcare services to patients around the world," said Michael Burke, UCLA Health International Services executive director, according to the news release. "Our partnership with More Health will expand our existing second opinion program and allow us to serve our patients in a more flexible way, from the comfort of their home."

3. Since its launch in 2013, More Health has helped thousands of global patients access care in the U.S. The company is partnered with various academic medical centers across the country.
