In addition to becoming CEO, Mr. Divita will also join Teladoc’s board of directors, effective immediately, according to a June 10 press release from the virtual care company.
Prior to joining Teladoc, Mr. Divita served as executive vice president of commercial markets for GuideWell, an insurance holding company primarily focused on health insurance in Florida.
In that role, he oversaw $23 billion in revenue, according to the release.
Mr. Divita’s appointment comes shortly after Teladoc Health’s former CEO, Jason Gorevic, left the company abruptly back in April.
