Southcoast Health unveils mobile app for telehealth appointments

Savannah, Ga.-based Southcoast Health partnered with Teladoc Health to launch a mobile app that patients can access for virtual healthcare appointments.

Three things to know:

1. Through the new app, called Southcoast Health On Call, patients can connect with a healthcare provider using video and audio technology to receive a diagnosis, treatment plan or prescription medication.

2. The new service aims to help treat patients with conditions such as a sore throat, sinus problems, urinary tract infection and the flu.

3. Southcoast Health On Call provides access to a medical provider 24/7, and an appointment costs $39.
