SnapMD acquired by virtual clinical trial platform

VirTrial, a virtual care management platform for the clinical trial industry, announced Dec. 12 it has acquired telehealth provider SnapMD for an undisclosed amount.

SnapMD will continue to offer its virtual care solutions to providers and other healthcare organizations while operating as a subsidiary of VirTrial. Additionally, SnapMD's technology will be integrated into its buyer's platform to improve functionality and simplify the user experience as part of VirTrial's mission to streamline the clinical trial process for sponsors, sites and participants.

"This transaction will enable SnapMD to further its commitment to improve access to care, regardless of setting, through an industry-best telemedicine solution and unmatched breadth of services."
