The announcement follows the recent passage of a state bill that went into effect Tuesday, according to Doctor On Demand. Under the legislation, patients may receive remote care via video consultation. The legislation stipulates patients cannot establish an initial relationship with a physician through phone calls.
Doctor On Demand connects patients with physicians, psychiatrists and psychologists via its smartphone app or desktop website. Its services are available 24/7, including on-demand visits and scheduled appointments.
