Julesburg, Colo.-based Sedgwick County Health Center partnered with HealthOne Virtual Network, a telehealth provider, to offer virtual care services for neurology and psychiatric patients, Julesburg Advocate reports.
Through the partnership, H1VN neurologists and psychiatrists can connect with Sedgwick County Health Center emergency physicians and providers through a telemedicine cart. The technology includes a mobile cart with an onboard computer, monitor, high-resolution camera and a microphone so the physicians can communicate virtually.
Using the telemedicine technology, H1VN specialists can remotely examine SCHC patients suffering from neurological events, stroke-like conditions and behavioral health episodes, according to the report. The H1VN physician is also able to access the patient's medical records.
