Tip of the day: Looking at supply chain from the customer's standpoint

To stay ahead of the curve, health systems should view their supply chains through the lens of their customers, according to Sean Halligan, senior vice president of supply chain at Cardinal health.

Mr. Halligan shared the following supply chain tip with Becker's Hospital Review:

"We are constantly thinking about our supply chain through the lens of our customer."

"We believe our customers are developing insights, figuring out how their business can operate differently, and we are working on that supply chain to help support them."

"We want to be our customer's most trusted supply chain partner. We want to help create value for them by reducing friction, being easier to do business with, delivering reliably and work with them to help drive out costs where it makes sense in the supply chain."

"If we keep that focus, I know that our supply chain can remain cutting edge and stay out in front of what the healthcare environment's needs are."

"Leading through the lens of our customer will keep a very full agenda for us to work on to evolve how we operate and how we support our customers and their patients."
