Lupin earns FDA approval for generic blood pressure drug

The Food and Drug Administration on Monday approved Lupin's nadolol tablets.

1. Nadolol is intended to treat high blood pressure and angina pectoris, or chest pain linked to coronary heart disease.

2. The drug is a generic version of US WorldMeds' Corgard tablets.

3. Nadolol will be available in 20 milligram, 40 milligram and 80 milligram doses.
