Hospital Supply Chain Saw 5% Price Rise in 2009

Hospital supply chain experienced a 5 percent increase in 2009, a much lower rate than 2008, according to a release from Novation.

Fueling the 2009 rise were price increases in gasoline (up 55.2 percent), water transportation costs (up 18.9 percent), paper products (no figure given) and overall food prices (up an estimated 3.5-4.5 percent in 2009 and early 2010).
