The Food and Drug Administration notified Centurion the product could be contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia bacteria. The FDA believes the cold medicine may have been manufactured in a PharmaTech facility linked to products contaminated by the bacteria. Numerous drug distributors have issued recalls in the last month relating to drugs manufactured by PharmaTech.
Centurion Labs is notifying customers in 14 states about the recall. The company has not found B. cepacia in the recalled product or received any customer complaints regarding medicine.
