Several of the nation’s largest health systems named new leaders to oversee supply chain operations this year.

Here are six chief supply chain officer appointments and retirements Becker’s has covered in 2025: 

  1. Providence Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer Dave Walker shared plans to retire after nearly a decade leading supply chain operations at the Renton, Wash.-based system. He retired in early November. 

  2. The Children’s Hospital Association appointed John Mikesic as chief supply chain officer. Mr. Mikesic is the former executive director of supply chain at the University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia. 

  3. Steve Bodily joined Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System as chief supply chain officer. He is the former supply chief at Charleston, S.C.-based MUSC Health. 

  4. In August, Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center named Yolanda Redmond chief supply chain officer. She succeeds Teresa Dail, BSN, RN, who is retiring from the role at the end of 2025. Ms. Dail will continue serving as president of Vanderbilt Health Supply Solutions. 

  5. Jeromie Atkinson was named chief supply chain officer at Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health in August. The appointment marks Mr. Atkinson’s return to the health system; he worked at Intermountain from 2009 to 2016 before taking on supply chain leadership roles at several other health systems. 

  6. Ryan Koos joined Phoenix-based Banner Health as senior vice president and chief supply chain officer in June. He previously served as chief supply chain officer at San Diego-based Sharp Health Care.
