Kewanee Hospital to Change Name to OSF St. Luke Medical Center

Kewanee (Ill.) Hospital is changing its name to OSF St. Luke Medical Center upon a change in ownership, according to a Star Courier report.

Kewanee is joining Peoria, Ill.-based OSF Healthcare in a transaction that still requires approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.

Leaders from the two organizations met last week to decide on a new name for the facility upon closure of the deal, agreeing on St. Luke as he is the patron saint of physicians, according to the report.
