U.S. News & World Report has released its latest rankings of the nation’s best Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.
The rankings, released Sept. 22, are part of the media company’s 2027 Best Colleges rankings, the 42nd edition, evaluating nearly 1,700 institutions.
The BSN rankings are based on the average of scores from surveys of top academics and officials at nursing schools and departments, who rated the overall quality of undergraduate BSN programs they were familiar with on a 1-5 scale.
To be included and ranked in the standalone peer assessment survey, schools must have bachelor’s-level accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. The regionally accredited institutions must also have recently awarded at least 50 BSN degrees.
