Fremont, Calif., is the happiest place to live in the U.S., according to WalletHub’s annual study of the Top 150 Happiest Places to Live.

To determine where in America people are the most satisfied with their lives, analysts at WalletHub compared 150 of the largest U.S. cities across 30 key indicators of happiness in three key dimensions: emotional and physical well-being; income and employment; and community and environment. Thirteen of the 20 happiest cities to live in 2017 are in California. Detroit was ranked the 150th happiest city.
