Deciding where to spend your retirement can be overwhelming, as the choices seem endless. While several studies rank best and worst states for retirement, there are often discrepancies among them, according to MoneyWise.

Washington is the best state in the nation and the No. 4 state for healthcare, according to U.S. News & World Report's Best States rankings released May 14.
