The cost of attending one of the 44 ranked private medical schools in the 2018-19 school year ranges from $32,823 to $67,810, according to U.S. News and World Report.

For the list, U.S. News & World Report only considered the 44 medical schools ranked on its annual list of top medical schools. The costs include out-of-state tuition and fees.

The 10 least expensive ranked private medical schools:

1. Baylor College of Medicine (Houston) — $32,823

2. Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Erie, Pa.) — $34,750

3. University of Miami Miller School of Medicine — $45,324

4. Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Virginia, Carolinas and Auburn (Blacksburg, Va.) — $45,500

5. University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine — $46,035

6. Howard University College of Medicine (Washington, D.C.) — $48,319

7. Emory University School of Medicine (Atlanta) — $51,198

8. Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell (Hempstead, N.Y.) — $52,180

9. Rush Medical College at Rush University (Chicago) — $54,000

10. Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee) — $54,678
