NorthShore University HealthSystem Evanston (Ill.) Hospital.NorthShore Evanston Hospital opened in 1891 and remains NorthShore University HealthSystem’s flagship facility. The 354-bed hospital is a Level I trauma center and includes the Kellogg Cancer Center and a cardiovascular care center. NorthShore has a relationship with Mayo Clinic, allowing physicians to work together on complex cases. NorthShore University HealthSystem has 2,400 affiliated physicians including the 900-physician multispecialty group, NorthShore Medical Group.
