Elizabethtown (N.Y.) Community Hospital. Since 1926, Elizabethtown Community Hospital has served Essex County’s 39,000 residents. ECH entered an affiliation with Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Medical Center in 1992, and both hospitals are overseen by Community Providers, Inc., a parent holding company. ECH boasts 194 employees, including 18 medical staff providers and more than 25 physicians. ECH’s emergency department sees 5,500 patients annually. This year, it was named to iVantage Health Analytics’ Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals list for the first time.
