Today, Christus Health encompasses more than 60 hospitals and 350 clinics and outpatient centers in seven U.S. states as well as Chile, Colombia and six states in Mexico. The health system employs roughly 45,000 associates and 15,000 physicians to care for its patients. CMS honored Christus Health with the Health Care Innovation Award earlier this year for its project to screen hospital and nursing home patients to identify early signs of congestive heart failure and sepsis.
