13 healthcare organizations named to Fortune’s ‘Best Workplaces for Women’ list

Fortune, with the help of Great Place to Work, published its annual list of the “100 Best Workplaces for Women” in 2017, and 13 healthcare organizations made the cut.

To determine the best workplaces for women, Great Place to Work surveyed more than 400,000 U.S. employees and ranked companies based on four factors:

1. How positively women rated their organizations across 50 key metrics
2. How women’s responses to the survey differed in comparison to their male colleagues
3. How employees from different demographic groups rated their experience at the organization
4. How well women were represented in each organization  

Here are 13 healthcare organizations that made this year’s list, along with their ranking out of 100 companies.

1. Texas Health Resources (Arlington): No. 1

2. Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (Memphis, Tenn.): No. 11

3. Atlantic Health System (Morristown, N.J.): No. 25

4. Scripps Health (San Diego): No. 28

5. Baptist Health South Florida (Coral Gables, Fla.): No. 46

6. Miami Children’s Health System: No. 55

7. Yale New Haven (Conn.) Hospital: No. 63

8. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Memphis, Tenn.): No. 70

9. Southern Ohio Medical Center (Portsmouth): No 76

10. BayCare Health System (Clearwater, Fla.): No. 86

11. Great Lakes Caring (Jackson, Mich.): No. 87

12. Ohio Health (Columbus): No. 92

13. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta: No. 100
