As the healthcare industry continues to grow, the Birmingham, Ala., metro area has the highest concentration of healthcare practitioner and technical jobs, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics compiled by ABODO.

To determine the best cities for healthcare job seekers, ABODO identified the top 10 Metropolitan Statistical Areas for job density compared with the national job density.

The report classified healthcare jobs as including physicians, surgeons, lab technicians, dentists, physical therapists and support technologists.

Here are the 12 best metro areas for workers seeking healthcare jobs, ranked according to the highest concentration of healthcare and technical jobs.
