UCSF Medical Center is the top geriatric hospital in the nation, U.S. News & World Report found.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 1,070 hospitals in the treatment of seniors and ranked the top hospitals for care of senior patients aged 75 and older. 

Here are the top 10 geriatric hospitals and their score: 

  1. UCSF Health-UCSF Medical Center (San Francisco): 87.9
  2. NYU Langone Hospitals (New York City): 85.1
  3. Mount Sinai Hospital (New York City): 82.4
  4. Northwestern Medicine-Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago): 81.3
  5. Keck Medical Center of USC (Los Angeles): 80
  6. Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore): 79.4
  7. Cleveland Clinic: 78
  8. Rush University Medical Center (Chicago): 76.6
  9. Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.): 76.4
  10. NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell (New York City): 76.2
