4. The hospital has 1,716 total employees.  

5. In 2011, the hospital had 3,900 inpatient surgeries, 11,000 outpatient surgeries, 2,500 births, 83,600 outpatient visits, 25,500 non-admitted emergency room visits, and 14,900 admitted emergency room visits.  

6. In 2011, the hospital recorded $692.6 million in gross charges and $26.7 million in net income, according to the American Hospital Directory.

7. The hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

8. Saint Vincent Hospital was founded in 1893 by the Sisters of Providence as a Catholic community hospital. It was purchased by Vanguard Health System in January of 2005, and continues to follow the longstanding Catholic tradition established by the founders.

The hospital is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center— emergency medicine services are provided by Associated Physicians of Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and surgical residents from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center perform rotations at Saint Vincent Hospital.
