WalletHub released its annual rankings for the healthiest and unhealthiest U.S. cities Feb. 11.

For the lists, the organization compared more than 170 U.S. cities across 42 indicators of good health, including medical visit costs, vegetable consumption and exercise gyms per capita. Each metric was evaluated on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions for a healthy lifestyle.

The 10 healthiest U.S. cities:

1. San Francisco
2. Seattle
3. San Diego
4. Portland, Ore.
5. Washington, D.C.
6. New York City
7. Denver
8. Honolulu
9. Scottsdale, Ariz.
10. Irvine, Calif.

The 10 least healthy U.S. cities:

1. Brownsville, Texas
2. Laredo, Texas
3. Gulfport, Miss.
4. Shreveport, La.
5. Huntington, W.Va.
6. Fort Smith, Ark.
7. Augusta, Ga.
8. Memphis, Tenn.
9. Detroit
10. Montgomery, Ala.
