Jacksonville-based Mayo Clinic Florida will expand its radiography technologist program in January, increasing its cohort size from 10 to 20 students.
The expansion comes as imaging demands have increased at the health system’s Duan Family Building, also in Jacksonville, according to a Sept. 25 news release from Mayo Clinic.
The program provides hands-on training in diagnostic imaging and includes a five-month post-primary MRI internship with stipend and benefits. The internship is designed to prepare graduates for the MRI registry exam and help retain talent within Mayo Clinic Florida.
