From newly installed equipment to entire imaging suites, here are 30 hospitals expanding radiology services:
- Auburn (N.Y.) Community Hospital opened a women’s imaging suite with two GE Senographe Pristina full-field digital mammography systems.
- Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital expanded cardiac imaging services with the addition of two GE Healthcare Revolution Apex 512-Slice CT scanners.
- Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Health University Medical Center opened an expanded MRI suite with a fourth scanner, additional preparation and recovery space, and an anesthesia support area.
- Nashville-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center opened the Vanderbilt Imaging Services Bellevue, which offers MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and bone density services.
- Coeur d’Alene, Idaho-based Kootenai Health opened two women’s imaging centers, one in Coeur d’Alene and one in Post Falls.
- Burlington-based University of Vermont Health Network’s Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y., expanded imaging services with the addition of an X-ray and fluoroscopy machine.
- Fillmore (Utah) Community Hospital, part of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health, expanded imaging services with the addition of X-ray, CT, mammography and ultrasound equipment and a bone density, or DEXA, machine.
- Winchester, Va.-based Valley Health added MRI and CT services at Valley Health Spring Mills in Martinsburg, W. Va.
- St. Luke’s Health-Memorial opened newly renovated CT suites with two scanners.
- Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health Medical Center opened a new interventional radiology lab.
- West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health’s Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, in Somerville, NJ., added a new digital mammography unit in its Steeplechase Cancer Center.
- Centre, Ala.-based Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee Medical Center opened a new women’s imaging suite.
- Indianapolis-based organizations Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center and Indiana University Health launched Indiana’s first mobile lung screening program.
- Fishersville, Va.-based Augusta Health opened a new interventional radiology room.
- Buckhannon, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital expanded its imaging services with PET/CT and Prostate MRI.
- Newark, Del.-base ChristianaCare opened a new imaging site in West Grove, Pa.
- Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health Imperial Point opened the Jacqueline J. Bernstein & Marvin H. Weiner Imaging Center.
- Cortlandt, N.Y.-based NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital expanded its imaging services with a CT machine.
- McLeansboro, Ill.-based Hamilton Memorial Hospital District opened a new CT imaging suite.
- Sun City, Ariz.-based Banner Boswell Medical Center expanded its interventional radiology services.
- Aspirus Riverview Hospital installed a new wide-bore MRI machine.
- Gunnison (Utah) Valley Hospital opened a new MRI wing with a wide-bore MRI machine.
- HCA Florida Englewood Hospital completed a new $4.4 million imaging suite with a new MRI machine and upgraded nuclear medicine camera.

- Maquoketa, Iowa-based Jackson County Regional Health Center launched in-house MRI services as part of a hospital expansion project.

- Atlanta-based Northside Hospital Cancer Institute installed the ViewRay MRIdian, an MRI-guided radiation therapy system.
- Avita Galion (Ohio) Hospital installed the ECHELON Synergy Fujifilm MRI system with deep learning reconstruction technology powered by AI.
