The fetus was reportedly discovered in the linen cart in the laundry department of the hospital around 5:45 a.m.
Upon discovery of the fetus, hospital security immediately called the Wichita Falls Police Department to investigate.
“We respect and value the investigative process and are working closely with the WFPD. Therefore, it is not appropriate for us to disclose any additional details. We are saddened by the situation and are doing everything we can to help those involved,” Lynn Wiesen, the hospital’s manager of marketing and communications, told KAUZ.
No further details have been released at this time, as the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
