South Nassau Communities Hospital celebrates a decade of 'HomeCare Elite' status

For the tenth consecutive year, the National Research Corporation has ranked the home care staff of South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, N.Y., among the top 25 percent of home healthcare providers in the country.

The NRC's used publicly available data from the CMS Home Health Compare database and CMS cost reports to create their 2015 HomeCare Elite list. Hospitals designated on the list are chosen based on performance measures including quality of care, quality improvement, patient experience, process measure implementation and financial performance.

"This prestigious award symbolizes South Nassau's trademark commitment to teamwork and its mission to be standard-setting provider of quality healthcare services whenever and wherever they are needed," said Richard J. Murphy, president and CEO at South Nassau.
