Mount Auburn Hospital names VP of post-acute care: 4 things to know

Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., has appointed Denise McQuaide, RN, MSN, GNP, vice president of post-acute care.

Here are four things to know about Ms. McQuaide.

1. She will serve in her new role in addition to her current role as president of CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice in Watertown, Mass.

2. In her new role, she will work with senior management to develop and lead post acute-care strategy, officials said. This includes providing strategic perspective and executive-level authority to direct teams, making broad based decisions and securing the dedicated resources needed to implement initiatives.

3. As president of CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Ms.McQuaide has spearheaded the recent Parmenter Community Health and Hospice merger with CareGroup Home Care —a department of Mount Auburn Hospital — forming a new subsidiary of Mount Auburn Hospital. She also has been responsible for the development and fundraising efforts of hospice programs and bereavement programs in the Boston metropolitan area.

4. Previously, Ms. McQuaide was CEO of Parmenter Community Health Care and Hospice.
