The company donated 120,000 critical response exam gloves to the Red Cross. The gloves are specifically designed for medical personnel who may need advanced protection and textile strength when out in the field.

Federal Emergency Management Agency officials declared the flooding the worst natural disaster in the U.S. since Hurricane Sandy in 2011. Roughly 100,000 homes were damaged, forcing residents to relocate to shelters until safety clean up measures have been completed.

“As recovery efforts grind on, the thoughts and prayers of the entire Medline family go out to all those affected by the historic flooding in Louisiana,” said Francesca Olivier, corporate social responsibility manager for the company. “Medline is committed to bringing healthcare organizations and workers crucial products during epidemics and natural disasters. As the water recedes, we hope this donation will aid in the months ahead.”
