Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City). Intermountain Healthcare, a 22-hospital system, has implemented a wide range of efficiency, conservation and sustainability initiatives. The system has installed solar panels on its supply chain center and Intermountain Park City Hospital, expanded its recycling efforts and implemented energy efficiency upgrades such as LED lighting. In 2016, the health system received the Energy Partner of the Year award from Rocky Mountain Power and the Salt Lake City mayor’s Community Leadership award for its participation in the Skyline Challenge, which encourages building owners to proactively meet and exceed air quality and energy saving targets.
