Ms. Renck was previously with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where she oversaw patient safety, Joint Commission accreditation and quality and risk management.

In her new role at Phelps, Ms. Renck oversees ancillary clinical services and the hospital’s patient safety program.

“Quality and safety are top priorities for Phelps, and the development of this role will support the mission and vision of our organization,” said Mary McDermott, senior vice president of patient care services and CNO.

Phelps is part of the North Shore-LIJ Health System.
