Carilion Clinic names VP of quality and patient safety

Michael Parish has joined Roanoke, Va.-based Carilion Clinic as its vice president of quality and patient safety.

Mr. Parish was most recently with Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, serving as the division director for performance excellence in CHI’s Nebraska division. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare.

At Carilion Clinic, Mr. Parish leads the system’s quality and patient safety efforts. Carilion Clinic has eight acute-care hospitals and one children’s hospital.

Mr. Parish is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a certified Lean Six Sigma black belt.
