The SCORE initiative is a nine-month program that will focus on skills enhancement and the implementation of lean improvement tools to create a culture of patient safety, reduce costs and eliminate operational inefficiencies. Specific goals include reduced surgical site infections, optimization of OR utilization and standardized communication, among others. The program includes educational sessions, an on-site analysis and other tools to reach these goals.
