Linda Groah, MSN, RN. Executive Director and CEO of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses. Prior to joining AORN in 2007, Ms. Groah served as the COO of Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, where she implemented numerous patient safety initiatives, including the “Just Culture” concept, which became a national healthcare standard. She authored the first U.S. textbook covering perioperative nursing roles and functions and was named a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 2000. Dr. Groah also serves as the vice chair of the Nursing Alliance for Quality Care and is on the editorial board of Nursing Spectrum.
