- New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System unveiled its upgraded and renamed Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing, previously known as Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
- Valhalla, N.Y.-based Westchester Medical Center Health Network graduated its first class of certified nurse assistants at Schervier Pavilion skilled nursing facility.
- Mississippi State University partnered with Jackson-based University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing to create a dual degree program where students can complete an MSU degree in interdisciplinary studies alongside a UMMC nursing degree.
- Bangor, Maine-based Husson University revived an online program called “RN-to-BSN” for nurses who want to earn a bachelor’s degree.
- Haverhill, Mass.-based Northern Essex Community College is participating in a national program called Accelerating and Diversifying Nursing Pathways at Community Colleges Initiative to make nursing education more accessible to minority groups.
- Tuscaloosa-based University of Alabama launched a first-of-its-kind nurse apprenticeship program.
