Three updates:
1. Cases have been confirmed in 31 states, with the majority involving people who were not vaccinated against measles.
2. As of September 12, 130 measles patients have required hospitalization this year, and 65 had complications such as pneumonia and encephalitis.
3. There haven’t been this many measles cases in the United States since 1992, when the CDC reported 2,237 cases.
