NIH to host caregiver summit: 3 things to know

The National Institute of Nursing Research of the National Institutes of Health will host a free summit on caregiving Aug. 7 to Aug. 8.

Here are three things to know.

1. The summit, called "The Science of Caregiving: Bringing Voices Together," will take place at the NIH's main campus in Bethesda, Md.

2. The summit will allow attendees to share perspectives from across the caregiving spectrum and gain insights into current and future research to improve the health of patients and their caregivers.

3. Judy Woodruff, news anchor and managing editor of the PBS NewsHour, will deliver the summit's keynote address. Ms. Woodruff has firsthand experience as a caregiver, as her eldest son was born with spina bifida.
