The tool, called Community Health Advisor, enables users to more accurately determine which public health policies and programs will have the greatest impact on health, mortality and medical costs. The tool can project the effects of policy changes for up to 30 years, according to the report.

The tool is available at www.communityhealthadvisor.org.
