The Pennsylvania Healthcare Quality Alliance website reported Chester County Hospital scored above the average for Pennsylvania hospitals in core measures for heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care but not for heart attacks. The hospital’s overall rate was 90 percent, compared with the state average of 88 percent.
“We are proud of our quality achievements, and we appreciate Aetna’s participation in ensuring that Chester County residents receive the absolute best healthcare,” Chester County CEO H.L. Perry Pepper said in the Aetna release.
Chester County Hospital has affiliations with Cleveland Clinic in cardiac surgery, the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Network in oncology and radiation oncology and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in neonatal and pediatric care.
