MEP releases latest quality case study

MEP recently released a case study surrounding Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, a 275-bed acute care facility out of Rockville, Md.

In the study, MEP focuses on Shady Grove’s use of a dedicated observation unit.

The use of this unit has cut length of stay, lowered readmissions and raised patient satisfaction at the Hospital.

MEP’s Observation Care units aim for the following:

– Readmission rate of less than 3 percent
– A length of stay less than 20 hours
– Patient satisfaction reaching 90th percentile or higher.
