The preview is for inpatient and outpatient prospective payment system hospitals, inpatient psychiatric facilities and prospective payment system-exempt cancer hospitals.
The data includes overall hospital quality star ratings for hospitals participating in the inpatient and outpatient quality reporting programs.
CMS updated its star ratings methodology to address concerns raised during the July preview period. The federal agency also revised the preview reports and log-in process to improve user experience.
