IPC The Hospitalist Company Acquires Michigan Practice

IPC The Hospitalist Company, a national hospitalist physician group practice company based in North Hollywood, Calif., has acquired Preferred Hospitalists of Michigan in Warren.

PHM was founded in 2011, and Zarnab Sajjad, MD, one of the practice’s founders, will be practice group leader.

“We are pleased to be joining forces with IPC. This transaction will enable us to coordinate patient care together in a truly collaborative environment,” Dr. Sajjad said in a news release. “This will prove to be an important benefit to our relationships with facilities, payers and community physicians.”
