North Hollywood, Calif.-based IPC The Hospitalist Company, a national hospitalist physician group practice company, has acquired CAP Medical Group, a New Hartford, N.Y.-based post-acute hospitalist practice.
This is IPC's third acquisition in New York in the past 18 months.
"IPC seeks to equip our new providers with additional clinical, financial and administrative resources so they can focus on improvements in quality of care and patient outcomes in this new era of healthcare reform," R. Jeffrey Taylor, president and COO of IPC, said in a news release. "We welcome CAP to the IPC family, as we continue to build our post-acute presence in the Northeast through both acquisition and organic growth."
