Due to financial issues, the college has been forced to restructure, affecting hundreds of employees, who could soon find themselves unemployed, in their same jobs or employed by Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, according to the report.
Interim Dean Duane Compton sent an email to employees Tuesday announcing that job changes will take effect June 30, though he did not specify what those changes would be, according to the report. Officials from both Dartmouth and D-H said faculty and employees of Geisel’s psychiatry and clinical research departments will shift to D-H along with a majority of Dartmouth employees, according to the report.
Employees whose job status will change will be notified through an in-person meeting and with a letter. Dartmouth will also provide career transition services, according to the report.
