Five OAPGH surgeons began working as Highmark providers on April 1. They focus on knee, foot, ankle, hip, shoulder and upper extremity care, as well as joint replacement and sports medicine. OAPGH is the first orthopedic group to join Highmark’s Integrated Delivery System.

The delivery system, launched in June 2011, aims to provide differentiated services and experiences to improve patient outcomes while lowering the cost of the health plan for its members. The system aligns a network of primary care physicians and specialists for a broader choice in health services.
