The four surgeons will continue to be unpaid faculty members of the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, according to the report, and the two systems will still operate a joint regional transplant center.
The physicians’ departures coincide with LSU’s recent partnerships for the operations of its hospitals in New Orleans, Lafayette and Houma.
