The three-year bachelor degree program, called the Nursing Academy, is scheduled to open this fall, and 48 students will be accepted annually. Students will learn through online classes and video conferences offered by BSU and will also work at Community Health Network hospitals to get on-the-job training.
“There is a critical need to better prepare nursing students to provide high-quality healthcare for a growing and complex patient environment,” Cindy Adams, Community Health Network’s CNO, said in a news release on the system’s involvement in the program.
