Ascension hospital ends pediatric physician agreement with Advocate, contracts Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin

Milwaukee-based Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin hospitalists and neonatologists will staff Racine, Wis.-based Ascension All Saints Hospital’s pediatric and neonatal intensive care units under a new contract, according to a Journal Sentinel report.

Pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists from Children’s will replace short- or long-term contracted independent physicians from Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care Network. A contract between Ascension and Advocate ended in December 2017 for hospitalists and in February for neonatologists, an Ascension spokesperson told the publication.

Ascension contracted with Children’s Hospital for temporary physicians until Children’s could hire permanent staff. All Children’s Hospitals physicians were placed by July 1.
