Desha Dickson. Director of Community Health and Engagement at Reading Health System (West Reading, Pa.). As director of community health and engagement, Ms. Dickinson was instrumental in launching Reading Health System’s Employee Engagement Initiative in 2012. The initiative allows employees to participate in one volunteer activity each calendar year during the workday. After Ms. Dickinson became chair of the Reading Health System United Way Campaign in 2015, donations increased 10 percent. She also developed an internship program at the health system for local high school students to gain work experience and has supported community beautifying efforts throughout West Reading.
